JOSH HOTSENPILLER

LEAD PASTOR

Josh serves as the Lead Pastor of Existence Church. He oversees all staff and directs the overall vision for the church. His passion is found in communicating scripture in ways that are fresh and relevant. Josh graduated with a degree in Pastoral Ministry from Nyack College in 2002 and has been in ministry for over 15 years. Josh and his wife Kim have been married since 2003. They have two wonderful sons, Kruise and Crosby.

SHAWN KENNEDY

COMMUNITY PASTOR

Shawn serves as part of the Lead Pastoral team and is the Community Pastor of Existence. He works with Josh to set vision and direction, oversees all aspects of community and teaches on Sunday mornings. Shawn has a passion to see people grow and mature. Shawn graduated with a Psychology/Pastoral Ministry degree from Nyack College in 2000 and a Masters Degree in Theology from Alliance Theological Seminary in 2002. Shawn and his wife Rebekah have been married since 2008.

BILL MANGHAM

NORTH CAMPUS PASTOR

Bill serves as the North Campus Pastor of Existence Church in Escondido. He works with Josh & Shawn to set vision and direction, overseeing all aspects for the North Campus. Bill is married to his wife Ann, and they have two children Matt and Kim as well as three grandchildren.

JOSH CARTER

MIRAMAR CAMPUS PASTOR IN RESIDENCY

Josh serves as the Miramar Campus Pastor in Residence at Existence Church. Josh works with Josh and Shawn in preparation for future Campus Pastor role. Josh has a passion to see Existence Church serve and love the community of San Diego in creative ways. Josh graduated with a Christian Ministry degree from Hope International University in 2004. Josh and his wife Jessica have been married since 2010.

BREANNE WRIGHT

CHILDRENS DIRECTOR

Breanne Wright is the Children’s Director for Existence Church. From a young age she has always had a huge passion to work with children. She started off her career as a Registered Nurse, working with sick and premature infants. There, she learned how to build relationships with families as she supported them in the hardest of times. Breanne is married to a wonderful husband with one daughter and another child on the way!

SARAH REISWIG

NORTH CAMPUS CHILDREN DIRECTOR

Sarah serves as the North Campus Children’s Director. She works with Breanne to make sure the children of Existence Church are loved, cared for and pointed to Jesus. She is married to a wonderful husband with one daughter and another child on the way!

KRIS ROLFSON

YOUTH LIFE, COLLEGE LIFE AND VIDEO PRODUCTIONS

Kris serves as the director of our student life and college life, as well as the Aperture Film Project at Existence. He oversees all things related to Youth Life and College Life and develops our video internship program. He has a passion to see the youth and young adults of Existence grow in their faith and in relationship with each other.

WESTON RING

WORSHIP PASTOR

Weston is the worship pastor for Existence Church. Weston is passionate about creating a culture of authentic, life changing worship and he works every week to make sure the church is an excellent environment for people to come hear about Jesus and engage in worship. He has been serving at Existence since September, 2011. Weston and his wife, Heather, have been married since 2008.

MIKALA JANSE VAN RENSBURG

WOMENS DIRECTOR

Mikala serves as the Director of Women’s Ministry and Executive Support to Josh Hotsenpiller. She works to encourage, develop and lead the women of Existence. Mikala is an invaluable support to Josh as the work together to implement and execute high level vision at Existence. She is passionate about seeing Existence Church reach it’s full potential to impact the lives of people all across San Diego. Mikala and her husband Wes have two beautiful boys named London and Durban.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP TEAM

Catie serves as part of the Community Leadership Team and Executive Support to Shawn Kennedy. She oversees the Welcome Team, Seven’s Ministry and Group Link. Catie is passionate about seeing people go from outsiders to insiders.

PETER HODGEN

WORSHIP LEADER

Peter serves as a worship leader for Existence Church. Peter works with Weston Ring to lead Existence into a heart of worship and heart for worship. Peter is a full time financial planner and long time San Francisco Giants fan.

DEREK TYE

FINANCES

Derek serves as a member of the Financial Team of Existence Church. Derek works with Jason Burns to oversee bookkeeping, payroll and more. Derek owns and operates a bookkeeping company and is a part time fitness trainer. Derek is married to his wonderful wife Lauren.
