A DEFINITION OF DISCIPLESHIP

The main story of the Bible is a story about the Kingdom of God and the central message of Jesus is a message about the Kingdom of God.  The Kingdom of God is the rule and reign of God and the power and presence of God.  It is made available and accessible to us in and through Jesus.  This is the good news of the gospel that Jesus announces and inaugurates through His life, death, and resurrection.  The invitation of Jesus is an invitation of discipleship.  Discipleship is the ongoing journey of discovering Jesus and becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus.

A VISION FOR DISCIPLESHIP

At Existence Church, we believe that Jesus gave us a vision for discipleship. We want to see people mature in their faith and we want to mobilize the church to be the church. It is with this in mind, that we will offer an opportunity three times a year for people to be involved in a one on one, seven week long discipleship relationship. Whether you are a new believer, a seasoned Christian or just checking things out this is for you.
