Josh serves as the Lead Pastor for Existence Church. He is our primary teaching pastor, he oversees all staff, and directs the overall vision for the church. Josh’s passion is found in communicating the Word of God in ways that are fresh and relevant.

While studying Pastoral Ministry at Nyack College (BA, Pastoral Ministry, 2002), Josh served as the Youth Pastor for Meadowbrook Church in North Haledon, New Jersey and part-time director for marketing at Jacksonville Chapel in Wayne, New Jersey. Josh has been in ministry for over ten years and is currently working on his Masters Degree focused on Rabbinical Studies.

Josh and his wife, Kim, live in San Carlos. Kim is the head of marketing for a Physical Therapy company in San Diego.

As Teaching Pastor, Shawn serves closely with Josh to help carry out the overall vision for Existence Church. He oversees the community aspects for Existence (including Life Groups), helps to set vision and direction, and teaches once a month. Shawn approaches ministry with a passion to see people grow in their relationship with God as they grow in their relationship with other people.

Shawn graduated with a Psychology/Pastoral Ministry degree from Nyack College in 2000 and went on to finish a Masters Degree in Theology from Alliance Theological Seminary in 2002. Prior to starting Existence with Josh, Shawn served as a small group pastor at Jacksonville Chapel in Wayne, New Jersey.

Shawn got married to his wife Rebekah in May 2008. Rebekah just finished her graduate studies in History at the University of Alabama. Shawn is also in his spare time a freelance photographer. To find out more information go to www.shawnkphotography.com

Gerry Limpic has served as the Worship Pastor for Existence Church since March 2006. Born in San Diego, CA, Gerry has been involved in music ministry most of his life as a recording artist, songwriter, and worship leader. He received a B.A. in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Counseling from National University. Gerry has been a California State licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years.

Gerry is married to Leigh with two sons; Ben (17) and Sam (16). Leigh manages the Los Angeles branch of Gevity, a Human Resources Outsourcing company.

Katie serves as the Director of Children's Ministry at Existence Church and is a ministry assistant to the entire staff. Katie has a sincere love for children and works with an incredible group of leaders to run our Children's Ministry.

Katie is attending San Diego State University majoring in Art History. She is originally from the Santa Rosa area and has been on staff since 2005. In Katie's spare time she can be found with a paintbrush in hand.

Geoff serves as the Inclusive Pastor here at Existence Church. He has a heart to see disconnected people get included into the process of discovering Jesus. He is passionate about people making decisions for Christ which leads to part of his role to oversee baptism ceremonies and testimonials as well.

Geoff graduated from San Diego Christian College with a degree in pastoral ministry. Geoff is originally from Anaheim, California and is a die hard Lakers fan.

Geoff got married to his wife Devin in May, 2009. She is currently in medical billing and pursuing a career in teaching.

Josh Carter serves Existence Church in a variety of ways from planning Missional Projects to Graphic Design. Josh has a passion to see Existence serve and love the community of San Diego in creative ways.

Josh graduated with a Christian Ministry degree from Hope International University in 2004. He is originally from the San Fernando Valley and spent three years doing missions work in Tijuana, Mexico before joining the staff of Existence.
